This course provides students with the basic concept of prenatal human development starting from pre-embryonic events of gametogenesis, fertilization, cleavage and implantation, with description of the normal and abnormal conception. it also describes the processes of organogenesis and fetal organs growth and maturation with consideration to teratogenesis and congenital malformation during these critical periods of developments. Also includes fetal membranes and placenta and their functions.
